Binks Addiction Awareness was created in memory of Travis Binkley, known to his friends and family as “Binks,” who lost his life to a fentanyl overdose at just 23 years old. Travis brought wit, charm, and deep compassion into every space he entered, with a rare ability to light up any room. His passing profoundly impacted his family and loved ones and revealed how deeply addiction affects not only individuals, but everyone around them. Out of that loss, his family chose to turn grief into action and remembrance into meaningful change. They founded Binks Addiction Awareness to honor Travis’s life and carry forward his legacy of compassion, connection, and care for others.
Binks Addiction Awareness supports individuals and families affected by addiction through awareness, education, and community-driven support. We work to ensure that those facing addiction are met with compassion, guidance, and hope by raising funds for critical resources, prevention efforts, and recovery services. Through outreach, advocacy, and partnerships with local organizations, Binks Addiction Awareness is committed to reducing stigma and helping individuals find a path toward healing and recovery.
Proceeds directly support Restoration Road Ministry, Inc. to fund sober living, recovery support, transportation, and mentoring services in Iredell and surrounding counties. This partnership helped establish Travis’ House, a transformational sober living home for men, with future plans to expand services to women and families, creating lasting pathways to stability and recovery.
